Annie, nine months pregnant, is picking out a crib at IKEA when a powerful earthquake strikes Portland, Oregon. Unable to contact her husband, without a phone or money, and in a city engulfed in chaos, she has no choice but to keep moving forward on foot. As she makes her way through the ruins of Portland, Annie encounters both human despair and sincerity: strangers offer help, chaos reigns at a grocery store, and an unexpected friendship blossoms with a young mother. During her journey, Annie reflects on her marital problems, her failed career, and her anxiety about having a child. If she manages to make it home, she is determined to radically change her life.
